This is a guest post by Andrea Brook. We are currently doing a fascinating series on Blog-Talk Radio, called "Life in the Seven Chakras." Conversations are always interesting when Andrea and I are together ...you won't want to miss it!
My yoga room is paved with Mexican tiles. They are uneven. The color is inconsistent with various shades of salmon and brown, making them look dirty. The stucco between the tiles is thick, maybe a quarter of an inch, and coarse. It dips down between the tiles, and as a result the floor is irregular and bumpy. Each tile rises up from this rough base, travels unevenly and then drops again, each like a tiny mesa. In the Mexican tiles, there are little indentations as if a miniscule asteroid has come crashing down, leaving its mark upon it.
